Vitamin D

According to The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a constant supply of Vitamin D to the body is effective in the prevention of colon cancer and in maintaining a healthy colon. There are many sources of this Vitamin, including solar radiation (exposing yourself to solar radiation for 15-20 minutes each day is sufficient) and from foods such as fatty fish, bread, cereal and milk. If your dietary Vitamin D is insufficient, you may have to consider taking Vitamin D supplements. Another benefit of the vitamin is that it prevents osteoporosis.
